SEAL TCMI

The profile TCMI It is a double-lip shaft seal that, like the TC profile, features a single metal case coated with rubber and a dust lip that protects against dirt ingress. However, the TCMI profile includes a key improvement: the primary sealing lip integrates a spring that is fully encapsulated in rubber, which provides superior corrosion protection, thereby extending the service life of the seal in harsh environments.

TCMI Profile Features

  • Excellent sealing: Provides effective sealing in demanding applications
  • Thermal expansion compensation: Adapts to temperature variations in machinery
  • Rubber-encapsulated integrated spring: The entire spring is encapsulated, significantly reducing the risk of corrosion and friction wear.
  • Greater surface roughness tolerance: Allows use on bore surfaces with higher roughness without compromising the seal integrity.
  • Versatility in fluid sealing: Effective for both low- and high-viscosity fluids.
  • Low radial forces: The modern primary sealing lip operates with reduced radial forces, contributing to increased durability.
  • Contaminant protection: The dust lip prevents the buildup of dirt and particles from the external environment.

See our gInstallation guide for oil seals to ensure proper installation and operation of the TCMI seal.

TOLERANCE FOR THE INNER DIAMETER OF THE SEAL

When not under pressure, the inside diameter of the sealing lip is always smaller than the shaft diameter. The difference between the two dimensions is known as interference or pre-fitting. Depending on the shaft size, the sealing lip diameter is estimated to be between 0.8 mm and 3.5 mm smaller. It will depend on the setting chosen by each manufacturer.
