Type CASSETTE Oil Seals

Cassette-type seals are fully integrated and encapsulated sealing systems designed for high-demand applications, especially in harsh environments with a high presence of contaminants, moisture, mud, dust, or severe dynamic conditions. Unlike conventional seals, the Cassette type not only includes the sealing lip or lips, but also an inner housing or sleeve that protects and guides the shaft, functioning as a complete modular unit.

This design enables multiple and progressive sealing, as it incorporates several sealing lips (primary, dust, scrapers, and sometimes pressure lips) arranged in series within a metal housing. These lips are made of high-performance elastomers (NBR, HNBR, FKM) and are held in position by reinforcement springs and internal guide elements. The cassette is installed as a closed unit, which facilitates assembly, reduces the risk of installation errors, and extends the service life of the system.
