Type FORK Oil Seals

FORK-type seals are specifically designed for use in telescopic suspension systems and hydraulic components of motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, and off-road vehicles, particularly in front fork assemblies. Their primary function is to retain hydraulic oil within the system while preventing the ingress of water, dust, mud, and other contaminants from the outside.

These seals typically feature one or more active sealing lips, combined with an integrated wiper or dust lip, which acts as an effective barrier against external elements. They are made from high-performance elastomers (such as NBR, HNBR, or specialized synthetic materials) that provide excellent resistance to wear, friction, and environmental exposure, ensuring long service life and smooth suspension operation.

In many applications, FORK seals are paired with external scrapers or dust caps, forming a dual sealing system that protects the fork shaft and prevents premature deterioration of the oil and internal components. They are specifically engineered to perform under continuous dynamic motion, including linear reciprocating movements, mechanical shocks, and varying temperatures.

These seals are essential components in the front suspension systems of sport motorcycles, off-road bikes, mountain bikes, scooters, ATVs, and other telescopic-fork-equipped vehicles, where effective sealing is critical for performance, stability, and safety.
