SEAL SGW

The SGW profile is a high-pressure, dual-lip shaft seal consisting of a single metal case with a rubber coating, a primary sealing lip with an integrated spring, and a dust lip that acts as a protective barrier against external dirt buildup. The sealing lip features bidirectional grooves, designed to follow the shaft's rotation in both directions and help control lubricant expulsion. It also includes external ribbing to facilitate installation.

TOLERANCE FOR THE INNER DIAMETER OF THE SEAL 

When not under pressure, the inside diameter of the sealing lip is always smaller than the shaft diameter. The difference between the two dimensions is known as interference or pre-fitting. Depending on the shaft size, the sealing lip diameter is estimated to be between 0.8 mm and 3.5 mm smaller. It will depend on the setting chosen by each manufacturer.
