Type CS Oil Seals

Les joints selon DIN 3761 de type CS combinent les principales caractéristiques du type C (structure métallique rigide) avec un lèvre d'étanchéité supplémentaire anti-poussière, offrant ainsi une double fonction d'étanchéité : une barrière interne contre les fuites de lubrifiants et une barrière externe contre l'intrusion de particules, de poussières ou d'humidité. Cette conception en fait une solution robuste pour les environnements industriels fortement exposés aux contaminants. Ils sont couramment utilisés dans les moteurs industriels, boîtes de vitesses, pompes, ainsi que dans les machines agricoles ou de chantier, où la résistance mécanique et la protection contre les agents extérieurs sont des exigences essentielles.

Their fully metal construction ensures high dimensional stability, allowing for installation in housings with precise geometries and fine surface finishes, as typically found in precision machinery or critical industrial applications. Thanks to their rigidity, Type CS seals are ideal for operating conditions involving high rotational speeds, moderate pressures, or elevated temperatures, where elastomer-coated seals may not perform as effectively over time.

The additional dust lip, without a spring, serves as a first protective barrier, while the main sealing lip, with a spring, ensures consistent contact pressure against the shaft, effectively retaining lubricants such as oils or greases. This configuration enhances the overall sealing performance, extending the service life of internal components.

CS-type seals are available in various material and finish configurations, including the standard version (TA), with external coating (TAC), or with special anti-corrosion treatment (TA-H). Additionally, some models feature grooves on the sealing lip with a specific rotation direction: ‘L’ for left-hand rotation, ‘R’ for right-hand rotation, and ‘W’ for bidirectional applications.
