Seals type DUOP
DUOP-type seals are designed for applications requiring high-performance dual sealing, combining the ability to separate two different fluids with enhanced resistance to internal pressure. This type of seal features two active sealing lips, both equipped with reinforcing springs, ensuring constant and uniform pressure on the shaft in both sealing directions.
Thanks to its dual-spring configuration, the DUOP seal is ideal for systems where both sides of the shaft are subjected to pressure or where absolute separation between two chambers containing different fluids is required, preventing cross-contamination even under severe operating conditions.
Its design typically includes either a metallic or a combined metal/elastomer outer coating to ensure a secure fit in the housing and excellent mechanical strength. In addition, some DUOP models feature intermediate chambers to enhance fluid separation and optimize the overall sealing system efficiency.
This type of seal is widely used in hydraulic systems, high-pressure pumps, compressors, industrial gearboxes, and heavy machinery, where robust, durable, and effective bidirectional sealing is required—even under high internal pressure, elevated temperatures, or high rotational speeds.
DUOP seals are available in various elastomer materials, such as NBR, HNBR, or FKM, selected based on chemical compatibility, operating temperature, and wear resistance.
