TYPE AO OIL SEALS

DIN 3760 Type AO oil seals are designed with a single sealing lip and no auxiliary or dust lip, making them the ideal choice when additional protection against external contamination is not required. Thanks to their full elastomer coating, they offer excellent static sealing and ensure secure installation even in housings with slight imperfections or roughness, minimizing the risk of leaks.

This type of oil seal is particularly suitable for applications where constant pressure on the shaft is not required. This simpler design allows for lower friction and facilitates operation in low-speed or reduced-pressure conditions. Its springless design limits its use to applications where lubricant loss is minimal and the working environment is controlled, such as in static equipment or applications with low mechanical demands.

Within the AO range, different variants are available depending on the outer coating configuration, including standard (VC), reinforced (VF), grooved (VG), or a special compact design for confined spaces (VG1).
