TYPE BO OIL SEALS

DIN 3761 Type BO oil seals are characterized by having a main sealing lip without a reinforcing spring, making them ideal for applications where operating conditions are less demanding or where constant pressure on the shaft is not required. This simpler design allows for lower friction and facilitates operation in low-speed or reduced-pressure conditions.

Like Type BS, Type BO features an exposed metal outer shell, providing a robust structure and dimensional stability during installation. However, its springless design limits its use to applications where lubricant loss is minimal and the working environment is controlled, such as in static equipment or applications with low mechanical demands.

Its construction allows for simple installation and optimized costs, making it an effective solution for auxiliary equipment, electric motors, and low-pressure pumps, among others.

Within the BO range, different variants are available depending on the outer coating configuration, including standard (VB), with an internal rubber lining (VM), an even larger internal lining (VZ), or a design with a special anti-corrosion treatment (VM-H).
