Type LT Oil Seals

LT-type seals (from English Low Torqueare specifically designed for applications requiring low operating friction without compromising sealing performance. Their optimized design reduces starting torque and dynamic torque, making them ideal for high energy efficiency systems, precision components, and equipment operating at high speeds or with electric drives.

The sealing lip in LT seals features a special profile, either thinner or with an optimized geometry to generate lower contact pressure against the shaft, which reduces friction and consequently wear, heat generation, and energy consumption. Nevertheless, the design maintains excellent lubricant retention and protection against contaminant ingress, ensuring that the basic functionality of the seal is not compromised.

They may incorporate one or multiple lips (sealing and dust lips), with or without reinforcing springs, depending on the required sealing level. They are available in various body configurations: fully metallic, elastomer-coated, or mixed, and in materials such as NBR, FKM, or special low-friction compounds, tailored to the specific application.
