OSN V-rings are available in eight different profiles designed to cover a wide variety of industrial applications. The VA and VS profiles increase their cross-section as the shaft diameter increases, while the others keep a constant cross-section throughout their dimensional range. All models can work at temperatures between −40 °C and 200 °C and are suitable for peripheral speeds below 10 m/s.

Standard profiles for general service and large diameter

The VR-VA profile is the standard version for large diameters and demanding service conditions, with a reinforced body, while the VR-VS features a wider body that provides greater radial force. The VR-VL is designed for installations with limited space, and the VR-VE is intended for large-diameter, heavy-duty applications, and can include an optional clamping band.

Profiles for heavy duty and tight spaces

For especially demanding applications, the VR-VAX offers a heavy-duty solution for large high-speed bearing assemblies. When the available space is even more limited, the VR-VLX provides a more compact design than the VL type. The VRM and VRME profiles are aimed at large diameters and severe working conditions. The former includes a rear extension that makes it easier to fit over mechanical components, while the latter keeps the same basic features but removes that extension to fit into more compact housings. The available diameter ranges span from 3 mm to 2000 mm, depending on the selected profile.

Materials and customization

At OSN, all our V-rings can be configured according to the customer’s needs. We manufacture them in NBR, FKM, CR, HNBR and VMQ, with hardness between 60 and 80 Shore, to adapt to each temperature, pressure and working-medium condition, with reliable performance against dust, splashes and abrasive environments.
