Rod seal UIP

Description

The UIP is a hydraulic U-profile rod seal with an asymmetrical, single-acting design, manufactured in polyurethane. The shortened inner lip and the recessed sealing lip distribute the contact progressively, while the tight fit on the outer diameter ensures static sealing inside the groove. It works under one-sided pressure load and uses the system pressure itself to reinforce the sealing effect.

Assembly

It is fitted in a closed, machined groove. Chamfer the edges of the housing and the rod according to the installation drawing, remove any burrs and clean the housing before fitting the seal. Do not pull the seal over sharp edges, threads or keyways, use a mounting sleeve if necessary. Lubricate the rod with oil or grease before assembly.

Materials

The UIP is manufactured in 92 to 95 Shore A polyurethane (PU), a material that combines high mechanical and wear resistance with excellent elastic recovery, allowing it to work at high pressures without extrusion. It is compatible with hydraulic oils according to DIN 51524 parts 1 to 3, lubricating oils, mineral-based greases and HFA, HFB and HFC fire-resistant hydraulic fluids according to VDMA 24317.

Plano técnico y parámetros de montaje de la junta de vástago UIB

Este esquema técnico define las cotas y variables geométricas esenciales para el correcto alojamiento y montaje de la junta de vástago UIP. En él se especifican las dimensiones críticas vinculadas a las tablas de especificaciones , tales como el ancho de la junta (b) , el ancho de la ranura (B) , el diámetro interior del vástago (Ød) y el diámetro exterior del alojamiento (ØD). Asimismo, se detallan el radio máximo del fondo de la ranura (r < 0.40 mm) , la longitud del chaflán de entrada (C) y su ángulo a 20°. Estos parámetros aseguran un ajuste firme en el diámetro exterior para garantizar la estanqueidad estática , facilitan el contacto progresivo de los labios de sellado y previenen daños en el perfil durante el proceso de instalación.

Esta ilustración en 3D detalla la estructura fundamental de la junta de vástago hidráulica UIP. En el esquema se observan sus elementos característicos: el cuerpo de poliuretano con perfil en U asimétrico , los labios de sellado asimétricos (con el labio interior acortado y un labio de estanqueidad retranqueado) y su diseño compacto sin anillo de apoyo. Esta geometría permite distribuir el contacto de forma progresiva para un rozamiento contenido, aprovechando la propia presión del sistema para reforzar la estanqueidad tanto estática como dinámica.
