O-rings are one of the most widely used sealing elements in industry thanks to their simplicity, reliability and versatility. Their apparently simple design solves a very wide range of applications in hydraulic, pneumatic, food, chemical and pharmaceutical systems, as well as automotive, water treatment, energy, industrial machinery and process equipment.
At OSN we supply standard and made-to-measure o-rings in a wide variety of materials, hardnesses, colours, sizes and certifications. We can provide anything from small-diameter seals for precision equipment to large o-rings for industrial maintenance, special manufacture or applications outside the catalogue.
Our range includes elastomers such as NBR, HNBR, EPDM, VMQ/silicone, FVMQ, FKM/Viton®, FFKM, CR, NR, ACM, IIR and FEPM/AFLAS®, as well as technical solutions in PTFE, UHMWPE, POM/acetal, polyurethane, PEEK, PPS and other high-performance thermoplastics. This breadth of materials makes it possible to match every seal to the real working conditions: temperature, pressure, fluid in contact, wear, chemical compatibility, applicable regulations and expected service life. Find out here which materials an o-ring can be made from.
We can also supply o-rings in different hardnesses, from very soft silicones to high-hardness compounds for demanding applications. Besides the usual black, we offer seals in special colours such as green, blue, red, white, brown, beige, yellow, gold and turquoise, making it easy to identify the material, the application sector or the type of fluid at a glance.

For applications in contact with food, drink or pharmaceutical products, OSN offers food-grade compounds in NBR, HNBR, EPDM, silicone, FKM, polyurethane, PTFE, UHMWPE and acetal, matched to the usual requirements of these industries.
We also supply metal- and X-ray-detectable materials, particularly suited to food production lines where safety and traceability are essential. These materials are available as detectable NBR, detectable HNBR, detectable EPDM, detectable VMQ and detectable FKM, normally in blue to make them easy to spot within the process.
Our range also includes encapsulated o-rings, a solution particularly suited to applications where a conventional elastomeric seal does not offer enough chemical resistance, or where greater cleanliness, low friction and compatibility with aggressive fluids are required.
These seals combine an elastic inner core, normally silicone, FKM/Viton® and occasionally EPDM, with an outer jacket of FEP or PFA. The result is the elasticity needed to seal, together with the chemical resistance of fluoropolymers. They are common in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and petrochemical industries, in laboratories, process equipment, valves, pumps and any system handling corrosive products, solvents, acids, steam or high-purity fluids.
Encapsulated seals can be a very attractive alternative when greater chemical resistance than NBR, EPDM, FKM or other elastomers is needed, but a higher elastic recovery than a solid PTFE seal must be retained.
For special diameters, large sizes or urgent requirements, OSN can supply o-rings made from extruded cord (o-ring cord) with a vulcanised joint. This method makes it possible to produce o-rings outside standard sizes without a dedicated mould, cutting lead times and providing an effective solution for maintenance, repair or manufacture to drawing.
The joint can be made by hot vulcanisation or with adhesive, depending on the material, diameter, cross-section, application and the customer’s sealing or appearance requirements. Hot vulcanisation gives a joint that is better integrated into the material itself, while an adhesive joint can be a quick, practical solution for certain static applications or urgent needs.
These seals can be manufactured in materials such as NBR, HNBR, EPDM, silicone, FKM, FVMQ, CR, polyurethane and other compounds, covering everything from general industrial applications to the food, chemical, gas and high-temperature sectors.
Beyond standard seals, OSN offers solutions for sectors with special technical requirements, such as gas, petrochemical, energy, ATEX, drinking water, chemical processes and applications with a risk of explosive decompression. For these cases we can look at materials such as low-temperature FKM, FKM GF, FKM AED/RGD, HNBR, FFKM, FEPM/AFLAS®, filled PTFE, PEEK or PPS, among others.
Choosing the right material is key to guaranteeing sealing performance, avoiding premature failure and ensuring compatibility with the fluid, the temperature and the working conditions. That is why OSN helps you define the most suitable seal for every application, whether a standard reference, a special size, a food-grade seal, a detectable seal, a FEP/PFA encapsulated seal or a large-diameter seal with a vulcanised joint.
The combination of thousands of possible sizes, dozens of material families, different hardnesses, colours, certifications and manufacturing methods makes the o-ring one of the most versatile sealing solutions on the market.
At OSN we work to offer the most suitable solution in every case: standard o-rings, made-to-measure manufacture, special materials, encapsulated seals, vulcanised seals and urgent solutions for industrial maintenance. Because when it comes to sealing, at OSN anything is possible with O-rings.
