Rod seal UIB

Description

The UIB is a single-acting rod seal for hydraulic applications, made up of a polyurethane sealing element and a thermoplastic back-up ring. The back-up ring extends the working range against pressure and extrusion gaps, while a secondary sealing lip reinforces fluid retention and protects the dynamic area against the ingress of dirt. Its simple groove design makes fitting and maintenance easier.

Assembly

Fit into a closed groove according to the dimensions on the datasheet. Clean the housing thoroughly, chamfer and round off sharp edges and do not drag the seal over cutting edges. Lubricate the rod and the element before assembly to ease installation and protect the lips.

Materials

Made of POLYURETHANE for the sealing body and POM for the back-up ring. This combination offers good resistance to wear and extrusion, and is compatible with mineral hydraulic oils and greases. For HFA, HFB and HFC fire-resistant fluids, compatibility and temperature ranges should be confirmed according to the compound.

Plano técnico y parámetros de montaje de la junta de vástago UIB

Este esquema técnico le define las cotas y variables geométricas esenciales para el correcto alojamiento y montaje de la junta de vástago UIB. En él encontrará las dimensiones críticas vinculadas a las tablas de especificaciones, tales como el ancho de la junta (b), el ancho de la ranura (B), el diámetro interior o del vástago (Ød) y el diámetro exterior del alojamiento (ØD). Asimismo, se detallan las tolerancias de los radios de fondo y canto (r y r1), junto con el chaflán de entrada a 20° (redondeado y libre de rebarbas). Estos valores garantizan un guiado preciso, evitan daños en los labios de estanqueidad durante el montaje y aseguran un sellado óptimo y duradero bajo presión.
