Rod seal UIB2

Description

The UIB2 is a compact single-acting rod seal for heavy-duty hydraulic applications, with an integrated back-up ring, an additional support edge and a sealing edge. It includes components for axial fixing in the housing and press fit at the outside diameter, with dimensions for standardised housings according to ISO 5597. It offers very good static and dynamic tightness and permits high pressures and larger gap widths.

Assembly

Fit into a closed groove according to the dimensions on the datasheet, respecting the axial fixing and the press fit at the outside diameter. Clean the housing thoroughly, chamfer and round off sharp edges and do not drag the seal over cutting edges. Lubricate the rod before assembly and combine it with a single-acting wiper for best results.

Materials

Made of POLYURETHANE for the sealing profile ring and PA for the back-up ring. This combination provides high resistance to pressure, wear and extrusion, and is compatible with mineral hydraulic oils and greases. For HFA, HFB and HFC fire-resistant fluids, compatibility and temperature ranges should be confirmed according to the compound.

Plano técnico y parámetros de montaje de la junta de vástago UIB2

Este esquema técnico define las cotas y variables geométricas esenciales para el correcto alojamiento y montaje de la junta de vástago UIB2. En él se especifican las dimensiones críticas de las tablas de datos, incluyendo el ancho de la junta (b) , el ancho de la ranura (B) , el diámetro interior del vástago (Ød) y el diámetro exterior del alojamiento (ØD). Además, detalla el radio máximo del fondo de la ranura (r < 0.40 mm) , la holgura de extrusión (E), la longitud del chaflán de entrada (C) y su ángulo a 20°. Estos parámetros aseguran una adecuada compresión y fijación axial de la junta , previenen fallos por extrusión a presiones elevadas y protegen los labios de estanqueidad durante el proceso de instalación.

Esta configuración está diseñada para ofrecer una excelente estanqueidad estática y dinámica, soportando presiones elevadas (hasta 50 MPa) y mayores holguras de extrusión sin perder rendimiento.
