In our extensive range of fastening products, retaining rings, also known as circlips or snap rings, play a crucial role in the secure assembly of mechanical components. Their primary function is to hold parts in position, whether within a housing or on a shaft, preventing unwanted movement during operation. These components are essential in sectors such as the automotive industry, industrial machinery, construction equipment, and electromechanical devices, where safety and precision are paramount.

At OSN, we offer a wide variety of retaining rings, tailored to multiple applications and standards. These include tapered section rings, shaft rings, and bore rings, as well as versions with or without lugs. All our rings are available in compliance with international standards such as DIN 471, DIN 472, and DIN 6799, ensuring compatibility and reliability in demanding technical environments.

We work with high-quality materials, primarily carbon steel grades such as SAE 1060–1090, C67S, C75S, and 65Mn, all of which undergo phosphate coating to enhance corrosion and wear resistance. We also offer stainless steel versions, including AISI 420, DIN 1.4034, DIN 1.4122, AISI 316, 15-7PH, and 17-7PH, ideal for aggressive environments involving both mechanical and chemical stresses. On request, we can also supply rings made of bronze, beryllium copper, and other special alloys for specific applications requiring unique properties such as fatigue resistance, high-temperature performance, or resistance to corrosive environments.

In addition to the variety of materials, we offer different surface finishes such as zinc plating, black oxide, or technical coatings, allowing us to meet the specific requirements of each customer and industry. We maintain a stock of standard solutions and also offer custom manufacturing, always ensuring the quality, traceability, and international compatibility that define all OSN products.
