Washer DIN 1005

Description

A wave washer designed to reduce bearing noise and vibrations, improve smooth rotation and compensate for shaft tolerances or expansions thanks to its ability to absorb axial loads. The number of waves (W) is defined according to the axial load, the path it must absorb, the desired stiffness and the space available in the assembly.

Assembly

Place the wave washer in its housing between the housing and the bearing, ensuring clean and burr-free surfaces. Insert manually without special tools. Align correctly and allow the washer to provide axial preload, absorb vibrations and compensate for small thermal expansions.

Materials

WB wave washers are available in carbon steel (C67 / C1074–1095 depending on model) and stainless steel (Type 302). They are usually supplied in a standard finish without special coatings unless specifically requested.
