It is with deep sadness that OSN announces the passing of Mari Carmen Pardo, one of the founders of our company, on 20 October in Barcelona.
Born in Madrid in 1947, Mari Carmen moved to Lleida when she was only three years old, when her father, Antonio Pardo, decided to settle there. It was in that city that he began his professional career in the bearings sector, an experience that would culminate in 1967 with the founding, in Barcelona, of the company Repuestos Muntaner.
After completing her studies, Mari Carmen joined the family business. The death of her father in 1983 led her to take over the management of Repuestos Muntaner at a particularly difficult time. At the head of the company, she had to make her own way and earn respect in a professional environment that was then markedly male. With determination and dedication, she consolidated her leadership and carried the family project forward with the creation of several companies.
In 1992 she drove the creation of OSN together with Juan Luis Gómez and took on the sales management of the company, a responsibility she held until her retirement in December 2018. Throughout all those years, she built strong professional and personal ties with customers and suppliers, based on closeness, trust and commitment.
Her way of working and of understanding professional relationships has profoundly shaped the course of OSN. We are very proud of her legacy and of everything she gave to our company and to those who had the opportunity to share the journey with her.
Mari Carmen leaves an indelible mark on OSN. She will be greatly missed.
