Piston seal COP

Description
The COP profile is a polyurethane pneumatic piston seal for cylinders, designed to provide low friction and effective dynamic sealing.
Assembly
Install the COP in a clean groove, free from sharp edges or damage. Lubricate lightly before assembly, avoid twisting the profile and periodically check wear, dirt or deformation to ensure proper sealing.
Advantages
Materials
The COP is manufactured exclusively in polyurethane PU, with a standard hardness range of 85-95 Shore A for pneumatic applications.

Technical drawing and installation parameters of the COP piston seal
This technical drawing defines the dimensions and geometric variables that are essential for the correct selection and installation of the COP piston seal, a one-piece polyurethane profile with asymmetrical sealing lips fitted in the piston groove. It shows the critical dimensions linked to the size table, such as the inside diameter (Ød), the outside diameter (ØD), the profile width (b), the housing groove width (B) and the groove bottom diameter (Ød1), together with the housing dimension (C, shown as n on the drawing) and the 20° lead-in chamfer. The groove edges must be rounded and free from burrs. Complying with these dimensions ensures accurate positioning, installation without twisting the profile and stable sealing performance in diameters from 6 to 2000 mm.
Three-dimensional view and components of the COP piston seal
This 3D illustration shows the basic structure of the COP piston seal. As it is a one-piece profile, you will see a single sealing element made of polyurethane with a standard hardness of 85 to 95 Shore A, in which the asymmetrical sealing lips stand out. That asymmetry is what combines effective contact against the cylinder bore with reduced friction, helping the piston move smoothly and respond quickly to pressurised air. The polyurethane provides good wear resistance, and the absence of auxiliary parts simplifies installation in small fitting grooves.
