Symmetrical seal UNP1

Description

The UNP1 is a symmetrical single-acting U-shaped seal with a compact design for radially restricted housings. Suitable for rod or piston thanks to its reversible geometry, its lips with a recessed sealing edge provide excellent sealing even at low pressure and good static and dynamic tightness. It is a robust, easy-to-fit solution for moderately demanding hydraulic cylinders.

Assembly

Fit in a closed, machined groove. Chamfer and deburr the edges of the housing and of the rod or piston, and clean the housing thoroughly before installation. Do not pull the seal over sharp edges, threads or keyways, using a mounting sleeve if necessary. Lubricate the rod or piston before assembly, heating the seal in oil at 80 °C makes fitting easier.

Materials

Made of polyurethane (PU) with a hardness of 92 to 95 Shore A, a material of high mechanical and abrasion resistance that offers excellent performance against hydraulic oils to DIN 51524, mineral-based lubricating oils and greases, and HFA, HFB and HFC fire-resistant hydraulic fluids.
