The SBC profile is a radial shaft seal designed for shaft sealing applications. It consists of a single metal case partially covered with a rubber coating on the outer surface, and a primary sealing lip with an integrated spring.

The inner diameter of the sealing lip is always smaller than the shaft diameter. Depending on the shaft size, the sealing lip diameter is generally between 0.8 and 3.5 mm smaller than the shaft diameter.
