V-Rings VR-VAX

Description

Rotary sealing element manufactured entirely from elastomer, consisting of a flexible body for shaft retention and a front sealing lip. The interference fit of the body ensures a secure grip and rotation in unison with the shaft. The VAX series is a heavy-duty version, specifically designed for large high-speed bearing assemblies where enhanced mechanical performance is required. Its longer and more robust lip is optimized for large diameters and severe operating conditions, providing effective exclusion of dirt, water, and other contaminants.

Assembly

The V‑Ring VAX is installed by slightly expanding it to slide over the shaft; due to its more robust design, greater force or tools may be required. Ensure the lip makes uniform contact with the counterface, avoid sharp edges, and verify that the seating surface is clean, rigid, and perpendicular to the shaft to guarantee effective sealing under severe operating conditions.

Materials

Available in NBR, FKM, CR, HNBR and VMQ materials, with hardnesses between 60 and 80 Shore. These compounds offer an optimal combination of flexibility, chemical resistance and thermal stability, enabling reliable performance against dust, splashes, oils, greases and atmospheric agents. Its elastic structure guarantees adequate adaptation to the shaft and an effective seal even in the event of misalignments or vibrations.
