Description

Disc-shaped metal fastener, with radial teeth and conical profile, designed to increase tightening force and prevent loosening of screws and nuts due to vibrations. The teeth bite the surface, improving fixation and electrical conductivity. It is used in mechanical and electrical applications where additional safety is required.

Assembly

The DIN 6798V tapered toothed washer should be placed between the screw or nut head and the bearing surface, ensuring that the teeth are in contact with both surfaces. The screw or nut is tightened until the washer is compressed and the teeth bite, preventing loosening by vibrations. It should not be reused if the teeth are deformed after disassembly.

The DIN 6798V tapered toothed washer is typically made of carbon steel and stainless steel, with finishes such as zinc plated (galvanized) for corrosion protection, blued (black), natural finish without coating and, in some cases, phosphated or nickel plated according to specific needs.
