Rod seal HR

Description
The HR is a double-acting rotary and oscillating (pivoting) seal, made up of a profile ring (in PTFE or polyurethane) and an elastomer O-Ring that energizes it as a preloading element. This design offers low friction free of stick-slip, high resistance to wear and extrusion and good dynamic and static sealing with long service life. It is ideal for rotary joints, hydraulic distributors, rotary transmissions and mobile machinery joints.
Assembly
Clean the housing and chamfer or round the lead-in edges, without burrs or sharp edges. Lubricate the seal and the surfaces. Fit the O-Ring first and then the profile ring, without damaging or twisting it. Keep the recommended surface roughness and check correct seating before commissioning

Materials
The profile ring is made of PTFE (with glass and MoS2 fillers to reduce friction and wear) or polyurethane (PU), energized by an NBR or FKM O-Ring of 70 Shore A depending on the fluid and temperature. Available combinations: PTFE + NBR, polyurethane + NBR, PTFE + FKM and polyurethane + FKM. NBR suits mineral hydraulic oils up to +100 °C, while FKM offers higher chemical and thermal resistance up to +150 °C.
