Piston seal PSV2

Description

The PSV2 profile is a single-acting pneumatic seal designed for complete cylinder pistons with end cushioning. It combines a metal body and rubber lips to provide sealing, guiding and cushioning with low friction.

Assembly

Install the PSV2 by securing it to the rod or piston with the locking nut, preventing loosening. Check cleanliness, proper lubrication and absence of burrs. Maintain it through periodic inspections of wear, pressure, temperature and compressed-air condition.

The PSV2 can be manufactured with a metal body, generally aluminium or a metal support element, and elastomeric lips in NBR or FKM. The hardness range may vary between 70 and 80 Shore A depending on compound and application.

It shows the critical dimensions linked to the size table, such as the outside housing diameter (ØD, to H11 tolerance), the inside mounting diameter (Ød, to H10 tolerance), the heights H1 and H2, the lip height (h), the thickness S of the metal body and the intermediate diameters ØD2 and ØD3, the last three with a tolerance of ±0.2 mm. Complying with these dimensions ensures correct tightening with the locking nut, with no loosening, and stable operation in diameters from 10 to 300 mm.
